Leila joins EQT’s venture team to continue empowering entrepreneurs and maximising their impact. Her excitement for entrepreneurship and fintech led her to join Stripe as employee #300, back when its Dublin HQ only counted a dozen people. At Stripe, Leila contributed to its European expansion and led the company’s entry into Italy. At EQT, she picks up right where she left off: working alongside the next wave of fintech visionaries to expand their platforms around the world.
Leila cares deeply about economic development. She has worked in for-profit and not-for-profit organisations in the United States, Morocco, India, Turkey, Ireland, Italy, and her home country of Madagascar, and has picked up 6 languages along the way.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard College, majoring in Anthropology and Economics. She holds an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, and an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
You can find Leila helplessly trying to capture a clear shot of the Golden Gate Bridge with her DSLR (Karl the Fog has been a difficult adversary…) or in a yoga studio making slow but steady progress. She devours historical fiction, ski slopes, urban hikes, and Mission burritos.
