Prior to joining EQT Ventures Alexander has been the Research Director of the Data Lab at SCET, UC Berkeley and a co-founder & technical director at the Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator (alumni companies have raised 600Mn+ USD).
He has a background as an entrepreneur, and has co-founded and been the CEO of Predli, an emerging technology advisory firm, as well as MasterExchange a trading platform for music rights. He has also been a Venture Partner at the VC firm Nineyards Equity.
Alexander was awarded the Amazon Alexa Innovation Fellowship 2018-2019, as one of ten faculty members globally. He has consulted Fortune 500 companies and hosted executive education programs all over the world.
As the Head of AI for EQT Ventures Alexander is leading the team building world-class tools and algorithms for early stage startup discovery and data-driven due diligence. He also contributes with AI market and tech expertise in the investment processes as well as supporting portfolio companies.
He loves to discuss niche technical aspects of groundbreaking products, and restlessly explore the frontier of technological change.
